Stick

A landing with no movement of the feet. In men's gymnastics, a stuck dismount of at least C value earns a 0.1 bonus.

A “stuck” landing is one where the gymnast lands and stays still — no step, no hop. It’s the cleanest way to finish a skill, and in men’s gymnastics it’s rewarded directly.

Under the 2025–2028 men’s Code of Points, a stuck landing earns a 0.1 bonus from the D-judges on:

  • a dismount of C value or higher, and
  • a vault with a salto.

There’s no stick bonus on pommel horse. Feet slightly apart, waving arms or a lack of preparation don’t cancel it — but if the heels rise to keep balance, it isn’t a stick.

Women’s gymnastics has no stick bonus; instead, a dismount of D value or higher earns a 0.20 dismount bonus whether or not it’s stuck, and landing faults are deducted by the E-judges, up to 0.80 without a fall.
